About
Hi! My name is Amber. I’m the married mama of five beautiful children. We are a family who cloth diapers, are into babywearing, co-sleeping, extended breastfeeding, homeschooling, and all that good stuff. I learned to sew, knit, and crochet as a child but left it behind for many years. I picked them all up again when I had my first child nine years ago. Since then I have been sewing cloth diapers, knitting longies, caps & mittens, and crocheting all sorts of fun things for my children.
Here on the blog I share ideas, tips, and tricks on sewing, knitting, crochet, and the occasional odd item. Such as Homemade Emergency Canned Heat. You know, just to keep it interesting.
I own DiaperKit.com and love to share ideas on cloth diaper making as well as tips on using them. I am also the creator of ButtKnits knitting patterns which are fresh, fun, new patterns for knitting shorties & longies (they go over cloth diapers).
Please don’t hesitate to contact me or to make comments on the blog. Comments are what make a blog feel like a friendly place. I love to hear what you think! You may also want to sign up for one or both of my newsletters. I send out a newsletter about once a month to keep you updated on new patterns, sales, and I often include special discounts & offers just for my newsletter subscribers. You can subscribe to the Amber Perry Patterns/Butt Knits newsletter here, and the DiaperKit.com newsletter here (in the upper right).
Warmly,
Amber
